The popular television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Kush Shah, who is most known for playing Goli Hansraj Hathi, has ended his 16-year run on the program. The actor has finally officially announced his departure, after initially refuting reports of it.
Kush says to his fans in a new video that the program’s creators have posted, “I was very young when the show started and we first met. Just as this show has surrounded me with love, so too have you. I have had so much fun and made so many memories here.”
“I grew up here, and I have to thank Mr. Asit Kumar Modi, the man behind Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, from the bottom of my heart for this amazing experience. I am who I am today because of his belief in me, the complexity he added to my personality, and his unceasing motivation. He was the reason Kush turned into Goli.”
Kush cut a cake with the actors of TMKOC to mark his departure, and Asit Modi gave him props for being a beloved member of Gokuldham society since he was a young boy and for remaining consistent all through.
Later, Kush broke down in tears and promised to make everyone proud. Declaring his 16-year journey to have been “incredibly beautiful,” he said, “I carry with me your love and fond memories as I bid farewell,” introducing the new Goli. But Goli will remain the same while I, Kush Shah, depart. The happiness, humor, and mischievousness won’t stop. The role never changes, even if the performer does.”
